Middlesbrough fashion designer Kate Fearnley has won the Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award at the Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women of the Year awards star studded ceremony at Banqueting House, Whitehall, London.

Kate was presented her award by TV Presenter Zoe Salmon who is one of several celebrity fans who regularly wear Kate’s designs.

Kate accepted her award giving a short yet sweet speech "it's a great honour to accept this award. I’d like to thank Cosmopolitan and everyone who has supported me, I am truly honoured."

2009 has been a great year for Kate as last month saw the label gain a key new stockist; the Middlesbrough department store Psyche. With the collection located on the new ground floor women’s boutique, where its adjacencies include, D&G, Cavalli,Paul Smith and Karl Lagerfeld it’s in great company.

Kate continues to sell her designs through her flagship store on Linthorpe Road, online via www.katefearnleyboutique.co.uk as well as the range being stocked in 80 independent stockists throught the UK.
