Get set for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games by being part of this amazing event and live television show in Albert Park, Middlesbrough.
The CBBC Olympic Games Challenge Live event is happening on Friday 27 July and will be hosted by CBBC's Barney Harwood in Albert Park, Middlesbrough, from 3pm until 6pm. Doors will open at 2.30pm and people should arrive promptly to be in place. There will be a special live programme broadcast from the event on CBBC at 4.30pm.
CBBC has challenged a group of children from Middlesbrough to help plan this event to celebrate the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The afternoon will see the kids' work come to fruition, which includes, as a centrepiece, their renovation of Albert Park's pavilion, which had fallen out of use.
There will be a host of entertainment acts, special guests, surprises and fun activities at this exciting afternoon of CBBC infused fun!
We also plan to have a live link up with the Olympic stadium as they prepare for the opening ceremony extravaganza later in the evening.
**Please note this event is aimed at children aged 6-12 and therefore they encourage you to limit the amount of adults in your party so that a maximum of two adults attend per four children in the party. All members of the party require tickets. Under 18s must be supervised by a ticket holding adult.**
