The Star was formally known as the Star and Garter, then in 2006 it had a refurb and changed its name to The Star. It is a popular hot spot along Middlesbrough's Southfield Road. It has a trendy chic feel about and it has outside seating. The food is excellently priced and stretches from tasty salads to standard pub fayre. There are large screens for sky sports And there is even wireless internet access. There’s no doubt that all this makes for a lively atmosphere. But there’s one more reason for visiting the Star – the impressive list of cask ales, and extensive selection of wines that all of our pubs are famous for.
If driving in on the A66 follow the signs to Middlesbrough centre, from there go on to Linthorpe Road and look for signs onto Southfield Road.
There are many bus services that stop close by to Southfield Road to get to The Star the buses stop on Linthorpe Road such as; the number 63, number 9 and the number 12 as well as many others, these run frequently during the day.
