Middlesbrough offers plenty of opportunities for any group including a visit to a premier league football club, shopping galore from shopping centres to classy boutiques, and exploring the towns past and present, rich cultural heritage.
Middlesbrough provides a good base to go off exploring the rest of the Tees Valley and the region with easy access to all transport links. The national A1(M) network offers easy access from both North And South and connects the Tees Valley and Middlesbrough via the A19 and A66. A Coach Park is located in the centre of town at Cannon Park and Middlesbrough Train Station is located right in the centre of Middlesbrough, only a five-minute walk to the shopping centre. Durham Tees Valley Airport is approximately 20 minutes drive away up the A66, plus approximately three hours from London on the East Coast mainline via Darlington.
The Tees Valley forms part of the Captain Cook Country Tour, a fully signposted tour of some 70 miles, following a circular route, which can be completed in less than a day. The tour begins at the award winning Captain Cook Birthplace Museum and follows the early life of the famous navigator by travelling around the place where he spent his youth.
