The latest edition of the popular Visit Stockton & Middlesbrough Guide was launched last week, showcasing the very best the area has to offer in leisure, entertainment, culture and shopping.
The 52-page glossy guide, produced by Stockton and Middlesbrough Councils in conjunction with the Stockton-Middlesbrough Initiative and visitTeesvalley, is a handy pocket-sized directory featuring a huge array of events and entertainment.
A print-run of 35,000 will be distributed throughout the tourist information network, with the aim of giving visitors to the area a much better idea of the range of activities and destinations on offer.
Sections include Shopping, Music and Events, Leisure, Sport and Adventure, and The Great Outdoors.
Also featured are detailed maps of the two towns, and a selection of discount vouchers for attractions including Preston Hall Museum and Nature's World.
Middlesbrough Council Tourism Support Officer Lisa Templeman, who led the project, said: "This is the second edition of the Guide in its current format and it has already proved hugely popular.
"It's also a great opportunity for us to work closely with the venues in the heart of the Tees Valley to promote to our visitors what we have to offer as two towns working together."
Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "There is so much to see, do and enjoy in our area that we sometimes forget ourselves what we have to offer.
"The guide is our chance to show off the best of the Tees Valley to our visitors and perhaps remind ourselves about the great events, museums and shops we have on our own doorstep."
Middlesbrough Deputy Mayor Councillor Bob Kerr added: "There really is something for everyone in the Tees Valley, from music and culture to sport and some of the best countryside in the UK.
"The guide yet again provides a fabulous showcase for all we have to offer and will be an inspiration for both visitors and those who already live here."
