This summer Middlesbrough's Centre Square is the place to be for a programme of exciting street entertainment for all the family.
Centre Square is situated in central Middlesbrough, outside the mima gallery and is fully accessible to wheelchairs and prams. For six Summer Sundays between 2pm and 4pm fantastic events will be taking place. Come and join the fun!
Bicycle Ballet
When: Sunday 30th August
'The dance of cycling' celebrates the playful and chaotic world of cycling with fast paced dance, acrobatics and comedy. Come and see Bicycle Ballet perform combined with circus skills and unicycling fun!
Steel Bands
When: Sunday 26th July
Local and international bands meet to perform an amazing medley of sounds from the Caribbean. Part of the Cultural Olympiad - London 2012 - Open Weekend, come along, share the music and be thoroughly entertained.
Puppets Galore
When: Sunday 2nd August
From the very small to the large scale street puppets Veronika and Yeshe the Yak, this will be a fantastically funny afternoon for children and adults.
World in the Square
When: Sunday 9th August
Enjoy a selection of the top performances from Billingham's International Folklore Festival, the largest traditional international dance and music festival in the UK.
Motionhouse Dance Theatre present Urban Dance
When: Sunday 16th August
Attention grabbing, edge of your seat, in-your-face dancing with some surprising aerial encounters from Motionhouse Dance Theatre.
Parkour (Free Running)
When: Sunday 23rd August
