The race was introduced in 2005 and was an immediate success, and since 2006 is included in the North East road race series, which was quite remarkable after only one year. Having built on the initial success, the race continues to grow and for 2008 the race is expected to attract over 3,000 entries.
Runners – and walkers – looking forward to this year’s race can see exactly how much training time they have left thanks to a new countdown feature launched this week on the event’s own website at www.middlesbrough10krun.com
The Course is one lap, flat and marked at each kilometre and with full road closures makes it ideal for all including those attempting a personal best.
