A minute's silence to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley will open the spectacular new stage show Viva Las Vegas Live as it begins a national tour of Britain's top theatres.

Elvis is a worldwide phenomenon and Viva Las Vegas Live is the king of all shows devoted to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The production's nationwide tour has been scheduled to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Presley's untimely death.

His demise stunned the world. A heart attack took from us the greatest live performer the world has ever seen, aged just 42.

It's 30 years since Elvis's death, but the legendary singer's popularity is as great today as it was at any time during his glittering career and thousands of pounds have been spent on creating our lavish new stage show which celebrates his entire career. Such is the popularity of Elvis, the show's UK tour is already well on the way to selling out.

Viva Las Vegas Live features all of Elvis's million-selling hits, performed by Paul Lillie - described by the Guardian newspaper as "the UK's number one Elvis impersonator". Paul, who looks and sounds exactly like Elvis in his prime, plays guitar and is backed by an 11-piece band, including backing singers, plus dancing show girls.

With costumes that dazzle as brightly as one of the King's famed Vegas stage shows, Viva Las Vegas is the greatest live concert shows of Elvis Presley's glittering career.

Watch out for a transfer to the West End in the near future.
The King is dead, long live the King!

Viva Las Vegas can be seen at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 7.30pm. Tickets are £16.50.
