The AV Festival is an international festival of electronic arts featuring visual art, music and moving image. This year Middlesbrough hosted a whole range of events, including a '3D disco' and live radio station at mima, as part of the celebrations which took place across Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland from 28 February - 8 March.
James Harris, a local filmmaker and comedian, went out with his camera to capture some of the event's key highlights in Middlesbrough on behalf of Northern Film and Media. View his short film for a quirky look behind the scenes and spin-free lowdown on the festival's main events and performances.
