Wildcats and Stavros Flatley

6th January 2010

Type: Editors Picks

Categories: Middlesbrough Arts

Huge local favourites The Wildcats of Kilkenny have teamed up with TV sensations Stavros Flatley and storming Bob Marley tribute band Zion for what promises to be one of the most special nights out ever seen on Teesside.

Zion the Band logoTickets are already selling quickly for the amazing three-pronged show at what looks set to be a packed Middlesbrough Town Hall which has been rescheduled for Saturday 24 April.

The gig sees a Middlesbrough return for the Wildcats after their sparkling Christmas show at the Town Hall Crypt, and follows a barnstorming sell-out St Patrick’s Party at the Town Hall last year.

A frantic fiddle-led frenzy, the Wildcats blistering mix of piano, double bass, drums and fun vocals sees them blast their way through a breathless set-list including everything from traditional Irish jigs to singalongs, cartoon classics to football anthems, and everything beyond.

Stavros FlatleySpecial guests Stavros Flatley took the country by storm last year, wowing a TV audience of millions and reaching the grand final of ITV’s smash hit Britain’s Got Talent.

The hilarious father and son duo - Demitrios and Michalakis Lagi - describe themselves as ‘two fat versions of a Greek Michael Flatley.’

Riverdance was never meant to be like this – but they melted the hearts of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan and the public alike, and came within a whisker of grabbing the big prize and dancing for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
