Middlesbrough’s growing reputation as a vibrant and diverse town has been hard to miss in recent years, and has been enhanced again by the opening of Temenos, the new and spectacular piece of public art in Middlehaven. Temenos (literally translated as a ‘holy or sacred place’) has inspired this year’s festival to ask, ‘What do Middlesbrough people feel is special to them in the town?’
