Summer School

Keep the kids entertained this summer and come along and participate in the summer events taking place in Middlesbrough Town Hall this summer. Events taking place as follows:

High School Musical - 4th - 8th August 2008, 10am - 4pm. Age 7+ years. This course includes workshops each day in; dance, movement singing, costume and set design.

Comedy Crew - 11th - 15th August 2008, 10am - 4pm. Age 11-16 years. This course includes workshops in improvisation and scripted comedy.
There will be a performance of the above two courses of work on Friday 8 August, 6.30pm in the Town Hall crypt, tickets £5.

Pick and Mix Creative Days - 18th - 22nd August 2008

Magical Masks - 18th August 2008, 10am - 2pm. Age 6-12 years. Design and make your own magical mask to take home with the help of costume maker Jessica Stonehouse.

Mini Movers (in association with Youth Dance Academy) - 19th August 2008, 10.30am - 11.15am. Age, for Mums and 3+ years. Have fun with movement and dance for you and your little one.

Bollywood Dance (in association with Youth Dance Academy) - 19th August 2008, 1.30pm - 3pm. Age 8-12 years. Work with dancers from the Youth Dance Academy to develop skills in this modern take on classic Indian dance.

Steel Pan Drumming - 20th August 2008, 11am - 1pm. Age 10+ years. Get into the Caribbean groove and learn to play a variety of pans and music.

The Art of Storytelling - 20th August 2008, 2pm - 4pm. Age 4+ years. Join storyteller Adam Bushnell as he will be telling stories, offering craft activities and giving away some great prizes.

Bags of Fun - 22nd August, 10.30am - 12.30pm. Age 6+ years. Artist Mags Hayden will help you design and paint your own boot bag, PE or swim bag.
