In an event hosted by Teesside University, Holocaust Memorial Day will be commemorated in Middlesbrough this year with a commemorative service on Wednesday 24th January at 2pm. HMD is a time for everyone to remember the millions of people murdered or who have had their lives changed beyond recognition during the Holocaust, with the aim of reminding us all to use the lessons of the past to inform our lives today. This year we will be reflecting on the 2018 theme “The Power of Words”.

This free event will take place in the events space at MIMA from 2-3pm and will include contributions from students, staff and the local community. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
